You may have noticed that I’m a big fan and proponent of family movie nights. I’ve talked about it with friend of the show, Jenny Rapson, and sneak the topic into just about every conversation I can. So you will not be surprised to hear I have found a family movie night EXPERT and invited her to The Couch!

Jennifer Borget is a blogger and award-winning digital content creator, as well as the founder of the Movie Night Journal. She and her husband and their three kids love movies and have got this thing down to a science—which is lucky for us, because today she’s sharing all kinds of tips and ideas for making movie nights a success for the entire family.

Of course, because this is The Couch, where side notes and rabbit trails are always welcome, Jennifer and I also talk about having husbands who work nights, different types of candy corn, and what we’re watching after the kids go to bed.

Before we get started . . . did you hear the news? Tickets are now on sale for the Hooked on Holiday Movies Live Event! For the first time ever, my best friend and best friend of the show, Anna Rendell, and I are hosting a movie watching party and live podcast recording. Please join us on Saturday, November 19, in Liberty, Missouri (which is just outside Kansas City, home of Hallmark, the maker of our favorite holiday movies). We’re going to have food and drinks, giveaways and crafts, and of course, the movie and the podcast recording. It’s going to be so fun; you don’t want to miss it! Grab a friend and put on something festive (or cozy . . . you do you!), and get your tickets today at hookedonholidaymovies.com.

Okay, let’s get started!

MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:
