I finally got around to fixing my cheesy chicken last night. I took some pictures, but here’s the thing: they didn’t look good. So, I’m just going to suggest you fix the dish and judge for yourself.
One thing I noticed, though, was that my ingredient shot looked awfully familiar:
It turns out, I use cheese, cream-based soup and/or onion in almost all of my favorite recipes.
What ingredients do you use a lot of? Do you have certain “staples” or “go-to” foods that you always keep on hand?
I [almost] always have Dove dark chocolates on hand. Probably not the best idea, huh? ;) (oh, and no, I don't cook with them — but I don't do that much real cooking, so I don't think that question really applies to me.;)
Foods that come to mind that I seem to always have on hand are eggs, cheese, refried beans, and brown rice. And when my son complains that we don't have anything to eat, I start naming off a list of basics that we almost always have the ingredients for: grilled cheese sandwiches, egg burritos, macaroni and cheese, omelets, brown rice with vegetables… Of course these suggestions never satisfy his appetite.
Those are awesome staples!!!
