Today’s recipe comes from Successful…Together, and I tried it as part of The Secret Recipe Club. (Surprise, Angie!) Every month, Amanda assigns bloggers to another cooking blog (or, in my case, blog that happens to post recipes). Our job is to try a recipe from that blog – without telling the blogger or anyone else – and then write about it for Secret Recipe Club Day!
I was excited to be assigned Angie’s blog for my first month, because she’s a Weight Watchers lifetime member and shares the PointsPlus for every recipe! Her Baked Apple Crumble is an easy, fairly healthy snack that even my picky (non-healthy-eating) husband liked.
Baked Apple Crumble
4 graham crackers
1 cup apple pie filling
cinnamon
brown sugar
Smash the graham crackers and put in bottom of two ramekins or small baking dishes. Spoon apple pie filling on top of the crumbs, dividing evenly between the two dishes. Sprinkle each with cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
This treat was super easy to make and fast, too. Next time I make it, I think I might drizzle some butter on the graham cracker crumbs before adding the filling, and we’ll definitely serve it with a scoop (or two) of vanilla ice cream! (And yes, I realize this negates the “slightly healthy” part of this dish. That is my fault and not Angie’s.)
What’s your favorite quick treat to fix? And where do you find new recipes to try?
This post will be linked to Mouthwatering Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Tuesdays at the Table, Tempt My Tummy Tuesday, 33 Shades of Green, Sweet Tooth Friday and Foodie Friday.
