The groundhog, the calendar and the weather forecast have nothin’ on my front porch when it comes to knowing spring has sprung. Last week my husband shaved his beard and bought flowers for Annalyn to plant. Since I can’t stand his beard and he rarely buys flowers (he bought some daisies for me, too), I consider both of those things beautiful signs of spring.
Have you seen any signs of spring at your house yet? Tell us about them in the comments!
This post will be linked to Wordless Wednesday and Wordful Wednesday.
Nope. No signs of spring around here. Just signs of SUMMER!!
P.S. That picture of your husband and daughter looking at each other is priceless. You need to frame that one.
Framing a picture would require I actually print it out…and this makes me realize how lax I’ve gotten about that! So many great pics are just living inside my computer!
The weather has been spring-like for months though the plants have continued to sleep until this week (I suppose consistent 80-degree weather the past week has helped). :)
I think it’s funny one of the signs of spring in your house is when your hubby shaves his beard. ;) And how cool he bought you and your daughter flowers for spring! He’s a keeper! :)
Knock-Off vs. Genuine Hunger Games
Yes, our trees and flowers just bloomed last week, too. And he IS a keeper!
well..the pictures ARE perfect!
My tulips are blooming – almost a month earlier than usual this year. And the allergies have arrived in full force. My favorite is to hear the birds chirping when I wake up. Somehow that sound motivates me to get up and start the day. Another sure sign of spring? I’ve been able to exercise outdoors for many weeks now – yay!
Hearing the birds IS a fun sign of spring! (Not so fun? Seeing evidence of birds on my windshield. Ick.) :)
Signs of Spring in Paisley Florida…hmmm. Well, to be honest, I just moved here but it’s country and amazingly beautiful country at that. I would have to say the visits from the sandhill cranes have increased (torturing my pups even more). They love to stand by the fence and talk at the dogs…and the dogs go bonkers! LOL! Then there is the weather. Here in spring you still have 58 degress in the morning with a lovely 85 degress in the afternoon. It gives me a chance to enjoy the cool of they day with my Lord, sitting on my front porch. Plus we can’t forget about the love in the air…has any one noticed the increase of pregnant ladies everywhere? A sign of new life always reminds me of spring…fresh starts, clean slates…I think it’s better than New Years. :) I loved this post. Every one that I have read so far usually make me smile and then think. Thanks for writing your blog – I love it! :)
I love your perspective on spring! Fresh starts – His mercies, new every morning – are such a blessing!
