Friends, I have lots of thoughts and feelings to share on this topic. But pregnancy insomnia plus a sinus infection has won the battle this week.
I do want to hear YOUR stories about your journeys of faith and how they’ve differed from what you expected, planned or even hoped for when you first believed, though!
Will you share in the comments – or link up a post you’ve written on the topic?
We ought always to thank God for you…
because your faith is growing more and more,
and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
(2 Thessalonians 1:3)
How has your faith journey differed from what you expected when you first believed?

You already read my series on it. ;)
(Sorry to hear about the insomnia and sinus infection!)
Marriage. Sixteen years shortened by 46 days to my husband’s departure day to heaven. It was a beautiful day, a strange kind of beauty since I felt like in a pot of mixed feelings. It was February but at the California desert and I was able to gardening. In fact, I was gardening effusively, weeding and watering. I thought Paul was too quiet. He had not spied at me from the bathroom window and was only watching videos one after the other.
It was a strange day. He woke smiling and said that he was the happiest man in earth. Why I asked. His answer echoes till this day in my heart. “He wakes up everyday with a pretty woman,” Later, he opened his eyes and tried to say, “sweetheart,” sighed deeply and closed them again to my world.
Sixteen years to end at a probate case at court, since no will or trust was in place. However, I want the cheerful memories resonating still “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.” (Lamentations 3:21)
Therefore, I have hope and the time to sing again appears in my land. I am in love again holding tight dreams and expectations.
The first round ended in divorce and the second in heaven. I am here. Standing in my feet and walking in faith that in spite of bumps and holes, ups and downs, together my fiancé and I will work whatever the future holds.
Mary, I pray that insomnia and sinus infection will leave you alone in His name.
Wow. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us, Marinalva! (And for your prayers!)
