Two days ago, it snowed in my town. Like Lorelai Gilmore, my eyes lit up and I sighed, happily. I didn’t talk about smelling snow, but let’s be honest: I totally smelled snow.

My kids, on the other hand, were not so happy. They refuse to wear gloves, but also, their hands were so cold! And snow? WHAT? How were they going to trick or treat? Could it be done? Would their candy-loving worlds keep turning???

Funny enough, you still get mini candy bars and hard-as-a-rock bubble gum if you knock on doors while wearing the coat you’re mom made you put on. It’s a Halloween miracle!

And now, finally (if you ask some people), we can move on to the most wonderful time of the year!

Yes, that’s right. I’m one of THOSE. Those people who start watching holiday movies and listening to holiday music while the pumpkins are still sitting on our front porches. I wasn’t always. But since becoming hooked on holiday movies, well, I can’t seem to help myself.

Today marks the beginning of Hooked on Holiday Movies. For the next several weeks my best friend, colleague, and fellow fan of all things Hallmark and I will be guiding you through the holiday movie season and doing everything we can to make it the most magical one yet!

Anna Rendell and I have cooked up some plans just about as fun as a community-wide cookie crawl or road trip with a stranger. What kind of plans? you ask. Well, let me tell you.

Hooked on Holiday Movies will bring you:

  • Weekly bonus podcast episodes
  • Facebook Live videos
  • An updated Hooked on Holiday Movies resource bundle that includes a brand-new, 10-day devotional, a printable schedule of all 90 (NINETY!) holiday movie premieres, tips for hosting a movie-watching party, recipes, BINGO cards, a playlist and more!

Sign up now to get your FREE resource bundle, including Fake Snow & Real Faith: A 10-Day Devotion Inspired by Holiday Movies.

But wait! That’s not all! To kick this thing off properly, Anna and I (along with our friends at DaySpring) are hosting a HUGE giveaway over on Instagram! Head over there now to enter.

Wow! That’s such a great giveaway!! I mean, yeah, I know I’m biased — but I’m not wrong, am I?! Don’t miss your chance at all those fun gifts (including a six-month subscription to Frndly TV, a new streaming app that carries all three Hallmark channels)! It’s valued at more than $250, and the giveaway closes on November 4.

DIDN’T WIN THE GIVEAWAY BUT STILL WANT FRNDLY TV?

Smart choice! No cable needed here. Frndly TV is a streaming app that has all three (THREE!) Hallmark channels, as well as several other family-friendly channels. You can watch live or on demand, and it’s as low as $5.99. Check it out with a FREE 7-day trial here!

By the way, Anna and I have already been hard at work watching holiday movies and reviewing them for you. We started a few weeks ago by previewing the season. Listen to that podcast episode here. And then find out what we thought about last weekend’s first holiday movies of the year in our first bonus podcast episode. We had some thoughts. Of course we did.

And now it’s time to do what we do best. Steal our kids’ Halloween candy, grab our comfiest blanket, and watch another holiday movie. Don’t forget to get your Hooked on Holiday Movies bundle. And let’s get to watching!
